Position Title: Senior Accountant - Cost Allocation

Location: Jefferson City, Missouri United States

Position Summary:

Scheduled Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. SALARY $52,658 SENIOR ACCOUNTANT SEMI-MONTHLY SALARY RANGE: $2194.08 ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: $52,658 JOB LOCATION: This position will be located at 221 W. High St; Broadway Bldg. Jefferson City and telework. The Division of Finance and Administrative Services currently has an opening for a Fiscal and Administrative Manager position in Jefferson City. The work hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 8:00 to 5:00. This position is responsible for departmental cost allocation to federal grant awards. It is responsible for the analysis and definition of the department's organizational structure as it relates to compliance with grant requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE: · Responsible for the quarterly maintenance of the department's Public Assistance Cost Allocation Plan maximize federal reimbursement. · Work with divisional fiscal liaisons and human resources to define and enforce organizational structure as it relates to cost allocation. · Direct or assist in the development, implementation or revision of new and/or existing policies, practices and/or procedures regarding cost allocations. · Responsible for federal audit resolution including audit documentation, quarterly cost allocation narrative and review of claiming methodologies. · Assist management with responding to inquiries regarding federal financial participation, production of special reports, and serving as a liaison with the director, to other divisions within the department with any issues related to federal financial participation. · Responsible for providing training to divisions as well as sub-recipients regarding cost allocation. · Special projects and other duties as assigned. DESIRED SKILLS: · Ability to work independently on complex tasks with minimal supervision. · Extensive written and oral communication. · Careful attention to detail and change management. · Thorough understanding of Microsoft Word, Office, and Excel. · Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with a diverse team. · Execute projects to rapid completion. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree and 4-6 years of relevant experience and/or appropriate certification. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
